What we do
Seek
Scout conservation initiatives to feature as films, blogs, social media content, online courses, interviews, and workshop materials.
Support
Provide hardware (VR headsets) to selected collaborators alongside resources, film production, and training for use.
Share
Organize volunteer-run workshops for students and community groups to share about conservation, science, and career opportunities.
Internship
Hybrid (global)
We are pleased to offer an internship program for undergraduate students across all degree disciplines. This program emphasizes project-based work, specifically aimed at enhancing ocean literacy across borders and developing children's musical performances that integrate science with creative arts through inclusive design.
Interns will have the opportunity to engage in impactful projects, fostering a deeper understanding of marine environments while honing their artistic skills. This internship provides a valuable platform for gaining professional experiences in a collaborative setting.
Limited spots are available for 2026. Email us with a cover letter and CV to apply.
Blue Roots Scholarship
On-site (Indonesia)
The Blue Roots Scholarship is a fully funded, six-week hybrid program for women ages 17-24. We integrate experiential ocean exploration with leadership and advocacy training. Scholars engage in diving instruction, specialized masterclasses, and community-based projects.
This program aims to cultivate confidence, technical proficiency, and environmental stewardship while evaluating program implementation and participant outcomes. We empower youth who are not traditionally included in the conservation space by providing a pathway for them to take their first step – unlike other programs that require high technical proficiency in diving or science, we allow anyone of all backgrounds within the target age group to apply.
Volunteer
Remote (global)
Our volunteering program welcomes all ages to contribute in content creation, creative writing, project design, and outreach through flexible hours. Connect with dedicated individuals to contribute and develop skills that advance planetary health. Reach out to indicate your interest in volunteering.
On-site (Indonesia)
A limited number of volunteers are contributing to coral reef restoration and monitoring efforts, as well as facilitating environmental education workshops across different communities. Specific skills are required to volunteer on-site. Email us to indicate your interest in volunteering.
